Art & Fran Teeters began their aviation business in Colorado, and later moved to Salinas and established Cal-Pacific Airmotive, Inc. as a FAA Certified Repair Station in 1976. Our facilty consists of 20,000 square feet of hangar space and a paint booth.
Over the years the business has grown to include North American P-51 restorations. We have developed processes and techniques for the fabrication of the P-51 and the TF-51 airframe.
Through the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation agency the Limited Type Certificate LTC-11 for the North American P-51C, P51D and P51K was acquired by Cal Pacific Airmotive, Inc. The company then applied for and was issued Production Certificate No. 724NM for production of FAA approved airframe parts in accordance with LTC-11.
Cal Pacific Airmotive, Inc. received the Golden Wrench awards at Oshkosh Air Venture in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2008.
